Adele has broken Lady Gaga's album record with '21'.
The London singer's album '21' has now become the biggest-selling digital record in the UK, overtaking Lady GaGa's The Fame, reports Music Week.
'The Fame' was previously the only album to have sold more than 250,000 copies online, with Kings of Leon's 'Only By The Night' and Florence and the Machine's 'Lungs' close behind.
This news highlights recent figures that digital downloads in the UK have now passed passed 1 billion from last year.
As previously reported on Gigwise, '21' recently became the most downloaded album ever from Amazon.
Meanwhile, Adele has claimed her first US number one this week (May 12).
