Pete Doherty will not be charged over the death of an actor, the Crown Prosecution Service has said.
Mark Blanco was found dead after falling from a first floor balcony at a flat in East London in 2006.
The 30-year-old had been attending a party thrown by Paul Roundhill, a friend of the Libertines star, and at which Doherty and his minder Johnny Jeannevol had also been present.
Doherty was not formally questioned over Blanco's deth but did help police with their investigation.
The Crown Prosecution Service said there was insufficient evidence to charge anyone the death, reports BBC News.
Last weekend, Blanco's family said they would consider private prosecution if no one was charged.
