Green Day Pay Tribute To Amy Winehouse In New Track - Listen

Green Day have posted a new track online which is thought to be a dedication to the late Amy Winehouse.

The track, which can be listened to on Gigwise below, was debuted by Green Day at an intimate show in California last week.

Along with the track 'Amy' the band also played fifteen new tracks from their forthcoming album.

Although Green Day have not official confirmed that the track is dedicated to Amy Winehouse, lyrics in the track include: ''Dirty records from another time", "27 gone without a trace" and "Did you tattoo a lucky charm".

The band also posted a message to fans on their website about the progress of their new album: ''We have been in jamming and writing new songs for the last few months. It felt great to play these new Green Day songs live and share our "work in progress". Stay tuned for more!''
