Liam Gallagher has launched a lawsuit against his brother Noel after he claimed Oasis cancelled a festival date because Liam had a hangover.
In a statement, the now Beady Eye singer said his brother had lied and endorsed the original line that Oasis dropped out of the V Festival in Chelmsford in 2009 because he had laryngitis.
Liam also rubbished Noel's claim earlier this summer that his clothing label Pretty Green was also partly responsible for the band's demise.
According to The Sun, Liam decided to take legal action at the High Court after Noel ignored a letter sent to his lawyers demanding an official apology.
Of Noel's claims, Liam said: "That is a lie and I want Oasis fans to know the truth.
"I was gutted when I couldn't play the gig because I didn't want to let the fans down. The truth is I had laryngitis, diagnosed by a doctor, preventing me performing that night."
The apparent lawsuit is just the latest development in what has been a notoriously fractious relationship between the Gallagher brothers.
And it comes just weeks before Noel officially launches his solo career.
