More about: Arctic Monkeys
Arctic Monkeys have been forced to postpone yet another show on their current UK tour, this time in their hometown of Sheffield, due to frontman Alex Turner's ongoing illness.
The band had already pulled gigs in Birmingham and Glasgow due to Turner's diagnosis. Now, the Sheffield four-piece have issued the following statement:
"We regret to advise that Arctic Monkeys must postpone their show at Sheffield Arena on Saturday November 2nd. Regrettably Alex Turner is suffering with laryngitis and is not well enough to perform. The show at Sheffield Arena will now take place on Monday November 18th 2013."
They continued: "All tickets will remain valid for this show. We wish to apologise to all ticket holders for any inconvenience this has caused. Please contact the customer services at the box office you purchased your tickets for any further assistance."
