Ed Miliband has shown his true musical colours by pulling out a catalogue of conservative and downright weird choices for Radio 4's Desert Island Discs.
Obviously we know that politicians and music don't really mix, chalk and cheese if you will; as exhibited by Cameron's frankly embarassing attempts to be cool and Tom Watson being an unwelcome groupie for Drenge. Regardless, Milliband obviously thought he'd show these red faced political types how it should be done - with a list of extremely conservative drivel.
The rip roaring highlights of Ed's choices include the South African national anthem, 'Angels' by Robbie Williams and A-ha's 'Take On Me'. We here at Gigwise applaud these choices as at least he's not trying to even pretend he has a connection with ordinary people. It's incredibly daring and incredibly boring at the same time, well done Ed! And at least none of these artists will publicly shame you due to embarrassment by association.
