Singer-songwriter George Ezra has been announced as the support act for Robert Plant and the Sensational Shape Shifters at this year's Glastonbury Extravaganza, alongside four-piece Wildflowers.
Not the Glastonbury Festival you might be thinking of, Ezra will be performing at the Glastonbury Abbey grounds on Saturday 9 August.
Organiser Michael Eavis said that, “George Ezra is the West Country hero of the moment! He played a fantastic set at the Festival this year and is bound to be a big hit at the Abbey. A perfect support act for Robert Plant.”
Ezra also played at the actual Glastonbury Festival where he performed on both the John Peel stage and the BBC Introducing stage. Ezra said “I had an amazing time. I think that was the biggest crowd I’ve ever played for. I can’t wait to come back to the town and play at the abbey. It’s a real honour to be supporting a legend like Robert Plant.”
