Lana Del Rey has revealed that her mother didn't approve of her controversial lyric, 'My pussy tastes like Pepsi-Cola', which features in her song 'Cola'.
The Ultraviolence star was giving a rather frank interview to Rolling Stone about her past, present and future, when she spoke out about her mum's opinion's of her more NSFW lyrics.
"My mom didn't think it was that funny", she said - before going on to reveal her admiration for singer-songwriter Cat Power, stating that she can relate to her on issues of stage fright.
"That's why I really liked Cat Power, because I felt like I really understood her," she said. "She was a person who really meant a lot to me, just knowing that it was okay to start your performance with your back to the audience, at first, if you really couldn't face it. I mean, a lot of the time I just really felt like, 'I'm not really sure if I can do it.' But I mean, I've gotten better."
Folk musician Father John Misty was also subject to praise from Del Rey, who said: "Other than Cat Power, he's my greatest modern day inspiration. I just love him so much."
