After Morrissey posted a statement on his official fansite saying he had been dropped by his record label, Harvest have insisted that the singer is in fact still with them, and owes them another album.
A statement on the site True To You posted on 9 August from Mozza said: "Three weeks after the release of Morrissey's World Peace Is None Of Your Business (#2 UK, #14 US), Capitol Records/Harvest have ended their relationship with Morrissey, as directed by label boss Steve Barnett. Morrissey is once again in search of a record label."
It seems this has come as news to Morrissey's record label though - a representative for Harvest told Billboard that, in fact, Morrissey is still under contract and owes them one more album.

No doubt Morrissey will respond to his label's contradiction in some way before too long. Watch this space.
