Justin Timberlake has caused controversy after he jokingly called Madonna a "mother chucking ninja" on Twitter, and then deleted it.
The singer, who headlined V Festival last night, tweeted Madonna on her 56th birthday to say, "A HAPPIEST of Bdays to my mother chucking ninja, @Madonna!! Hope you have a great one, M."
After reactions to the problematic tweet, which is an obvious reference to a racial slur, were far from positive, Timberlake deleted it.
