Dev Hynes, also known as Blood Orange, has claimed that he and his girlfriend Samantha Urbani were assaulted by security guards in an unprovoked attack at Lollapalooza festival.
The singer tweeted following his set at the US festival: "Samantha and I just got assaulted by security. We are about to press charges." He continued, "They grabbed her I asked what they were doing and they grabbed my neck and threw me to the ground, then two others joined in on me."
The singer then continued his accusations in a series of tweets, and urged anyone who saw the incident to come forward.
Everyone saw it. We are pressing charges, I can't believe it. I'm so upset. Why is this still happening? I just want to make music

The singer also retweeted a series of tweets from fans whose comments regarding the incident were being deleted from Lollapalooza's official Facebook page.
Earlier in the day, Hynes had worn a t shirt dedicated to Trayvon Martin, Jordan Davis and Eric Garner. Trayvon Martin was a black high school student who was shot dead by a neighbourhood watch coordinator despite being unarmed. Jordan Davis was fatally shot after an altercation over his loud music, and Eric Garner died last month after being put in a chokehold by a police officer.
Hynes' girlfriend Samantha Urbani, who is lead singer of the New York band Friends, said on Twitter that they have since discovered the guards were not Lollapalooza staff, but were privately hired for that stage.
