Nicki Minaj's latest single 'Anaconda', from her forthcoming third studio album The Pink Print dropped earlier today. Check it out below.
The artwork for the single caused controversy the other week and immediately incited people to create memes and write open letters and essays regarding the artwork.
The song however, is not quite as controversial. Consisting of a sample of Sir Mix-a-Lot's 'Baby Got Back' and producers Polow da Don & Da Internz, use the line "My anaconda don't want none unless you got buns, hon" to make the hook.
After the commercial disappointment of emotional lead single 'Pills N' Potions', Anaconda sees Minaj revert to her more pop-friendly feel. There is no singing or attempt at evoking emotion in the audience but instead explicit rhymes and quick-fire rapping.
