Foo Fighters are set to make a major announcement next week on Monday 11 August.
The news which was announced in a Facebook post, told fans to "keep an eye out for some big news on Monday". With the lack of a confirmed date for their eighth studio album, it is likely to pertain to the details of the eagerly awaited release and the ensuing tour dates.
After months of anticipation the only thing confirmed for the new album, is that the debut single will be released alongside HBO series Sonic Highways. The show will document eight separate Foo Fighters recording sessions in eight different cities and will be released 17 October. This puts the release of Dave Grohl's new record somewhere around November.
Producer Butch Vig recently said that he had finished the record, singing its praises over Twitter. "We are officially done with the new Foo Fighters album. 23 straight days mixing! IT'S EPIC!!!"
Foo Fighters headline the Invictus Games at Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park on Sunday 14 September. Tickets are on sale now. For tickets and more information click here.
