Ed Sheeran's X has spent its seventh consecutive week at the No.1 spot, the first to do so since Adele's 21 back in 2011.

Currently Sheeran is fighting off competition from Dolly Parton, who is at No.2 with her greatest hits collection Blue Smoke. Meanwhile Sam Smith's In The Lonely has climbed a slot to No.3 and Coldplay's Ghost Stories (the biggest selling alnum of 2014 so far) floated back up to No.4. Newcomer George Ezra finishes off the top 5 with Wanted On Voyage, strangely occupying the same spot in the albums and single charts.

As for the singles charts, Nico & Vinz have stormed the charts with 'Am I Wrong', becoming the first Norwegian act to score a No.1 since A-ha. They've spent five weeks floating round the bottom end of the top 100, but ended up zooming straight to the top after a huge boom in sales.

As a result Magic!'s questionable reggae track 'Rude' slips to No.2, followed by a new entry at No.3 whith OneRepublic's 'Love Runs Out. Cheryl Cole's 'Crazy Stupid Love' featuring Tinie Tempah comes in at No.4, with George Ezra once again sitting at No.5 with 'Budapest'.
