Kings Of Leon drummer Nathan Followill has updated fans on his progress following a tour-bus accident which broke his ribs and left him in hospital.
The band were travelling to a show in Saratoga Springs, New York when a pedestrian jumped in front of them, forcing the group’s tour bus to unexpectedly grind to a halt and in turn injuring the drummer.
Shedding more light on the accident, which has left Nathan Followill with broken ribs, Kings of Leon posted an official statement on their Facebook page last night (10 August).
The statement read: "Due to an accident on their tour bus, Kings of Leon will unfortunately have to postpone tonight's show in Saratoga Springs, NY. The band [were] en route to their hotel after their show in Boston when a pedestrian jumped in front of their tour bus, causing the bus to stop short, injuring Nathan Followill. Nathan is being treated for broken ribs, but is doing well."
The band postponed the show that was planned for August 10th, until further notice, with fans being offered a refund for their tickets.
Since the accident, the singer has taken to Twitter to assure fans that he is still alive. "Saw a tweet that said I had died," he wrote alongside the picture above, "Not quite, but it feels close. Who knew that you use your ribs for EVERYTHING."

The band are due to play in Wantagh, New York tomorrow (13 August), and the show is currently still scheduled to go ahead.
