An inquest into the death of a woman who died after being found unconscious in a block of toilets at this weekend's BoomTown Fair festival, has heard that she attempted to hang herself.
Festival-goer, Lisa Williamson, 31, from Bromyard, Herefordshire was attending the Winchester festival with her husband, before she was found unconscious in a toilet block at around 2pm on Saturday (9 August, 2014).
She was taken to hospital but died shortly after arrival. The toilet block she was found in was cordoned off for police to investigate the scene.
Now, BBC News reports that an inquest into her death, which was adjourned, stated that the cause of her death was hanging.
Following her death, a BoomTown spokesman said: "BoomTown fair would like to express their sincerest condolences to the family of the young woman who was found unconscious on site but despite the efforts of all our staff involved she was later pronounced dead shortly after arriving at Winchester hospital.
"Our thoughts are with all her loved ones at this tragic time and the festival is doing all it can to assist those involved."
