Jabberwocky may have been cancelled, but the last minute news means that a lot of the bands booked are currently in London looking for shows.
Yesterday saw the cancellation of the event, just three days before its scheduled 15 - 16 August dates. Organisers said that while ticket sales had been healthy, if it had gone ahead it would “have 100% been the end of ATP”. In a statement from Barry Hogan, apologies were made to both fans and the bands who were booked to perform at the festival
A Facebook group has been set up entitled Jabberwocky Fall Out Rumours, with the aim of keeping bands and audience members informed with regard to replacement events. It's also a network for the bands themselves to find homes over the weekend, in a commendable effort to bring something good out of a bad situation.
Headliners Neutral Milk Hotel will be playing The Forum on Friday 15 August with The Ex, while Chelsea Wolfe has announced that she will play a last-minute show with Deafheaven on Friday 15 August with no venue confirmed as of yet. There are also rumours that Liars will be playing the Lexington and Cloud Nothings have confirmed they will play a show with one other band.
As for other confirmed shows, Ben Frost A U R O R A and Forest Swords will be performing at Corsica Sudios on Friday 15 August. Also Pissed Jeans and Earth will be at Birthdays on Saturday 16 August.
Keep your eyes peeled for more information and confirmations on incoming shows.
