Ray Davies has denied he will reunite the Kinks in 2015, with or without the blessing of his brother Dave.
Talking to Mojo, Davies appeared to claim that the Kinks reunion is due to take place in 2015 whether Davies' younger brother wants to take part or not. He is apparently "invited to the party, but if he doesn't want to do it, [the reunion] will happen anyway."
However the official Kinks facebook page has offered a correction to the story. "MOJO is wrong. 'There will be NO Kinks reunion without BOTH Ray and Dave Davies. Ray Davies claims to have never said this.'"
While we wait for further information, Davies' Kinks musical Sunny Afternoon will debut on 4 October at the Harold Pinter Theatre. Davies will also be playing shows in September and October to commerorate the 50th annversary of 'You've Really Got Me'.
