That 'big announcement was finally unveiled, with 'BBC Music' launching with an epic cover of The Beach Boys' classic 'God Only Knows' with a plethora of stars. Check it out below.
The track and video were unveiled across all of the BBC's TV and radio platforms at 8pm this evening (Tuesday 7 October) - bringing together the BBC Concert Orchestra with over 27 artists.
Joining Beach Boy Brian Wilson were Pharrell, Lorde, Chris Martin, Florence Welch, Jake Bugg, Dave Grohl, Kylie Minogue, Steve Wonder, Brian May, Jake Bugg, One Direction and many, many more.

The first ever BBC Music Awards are set to take place on 11 December. In 2016 BBC 2 will present a huge survey of pop music, provisionally entitled The Soundtrack of the Twentieth Century.
