This year's Record Store Day ambassador, Dave Grohl made a blistering entrance to his Foo Fighters gig last night arriving - smiley as ever - by motorcycle.
The Foos played a free show in Niles, Ohio to Celebrate Record Store Day close to Grohl's hometown. Performing live at the Record Connection at noon yesterday, the show was limited to 150 fans who were treated to a set that drew mainly from their Songs From The Laundry Room release.
Fans also heard a spunky cover of Kim Wilde's "Kids in America," from 1981 and some anthemic sing-a-longs in the form of 'The Pretender' and 'My Hero'.
According to Rolling Stone, the gig was a nostalgic one for Grohl in particular who said: "We're not far from my grandma's house! It's just up the road, actually."
The tracklist for their Record Store Day release, Songs From The Laundry Room’ is as follows:
Side A
01 'Alone + Easy Target' (demo version)
02. 'Big Me' (demo version)
Side B
01. 'Kids In America'
02. 'Empty Handed'
