Sleater-Kinney have included their first new song in nine years as part of their new career-spanning box set, which also includes a strong hint of an entire new album.
The band, who comprise Janet Weiss, Corin Tucker and Carrie Brownstein (who's now known for the comedy series Portlandia), have been on an indefinite hiatus since 2006.
Back in December, the riot-grrrl group reunited on stage during a Pearl Jam gig, and have now released a career-spanning box set, Start Together.
As Stereogum reports, the box set included a 7-inch single containing Sleater-Kinney's first new song in nine years.

What's more, the vinyl containing the new song is also marked "1/20/15", which seems to strongly imply an album of new material could be headed our way at the start of next year.
@subpop should I be as excited about the date on this unmarked 7 in. as I currently am? #sleaterkinney pic.twitter.com/mAUzXze3bv
