Big winners at the MTV EMAs last night (9 November) were One Direction, Katy Perry and Ariana Grande, with Ozzy Osbourne, Beyonce, Linkin Park and Thirty Seconds to Mars also taking home some silverware. The full list of winners is below.
Ariana Grande came away with two wins in the Best Song and Best Female categories. One Direction cleaned with three awards, winning Best Pop, Best Live and (perhaps unsurprisingly) Biggest Fans. Other big winners were 5 Seconds of Summer and Katy Perry, with two wins each.
Host Nicki Minaj was also a winner, taking home the Best Hip Hop Award, earning her Minajesty title (and impressively including a reference to a 'Glasgow kiss' and a rendition of the Proclaimers).
There were performances throughout the night by Royal Blood, U2, Ed Sheeran and Kiesza. The show was closed by Slash with Myles Kennedy and the Conspirators, who were joined by Simon Neil of Biffy Clyro, to honour Global Icon Award winner, Ozzy Osbourne, with a rendition of 'Crazy Train'.
