Noel Gallagher reckons he is recognised more for his appearance on an episode of 'Gogglebox' earlier this year than he is for his music.
Gallagher appeared on the show, which sees families and friends commenting on TV programmes as they watch them, as part of special charity episode alongside Kate Moss and Naomi Campbell.
In a new interview with Xfm, broadcast on the Breakfast Show, the Oasis legend revealed to host Tim Cocker his suprise at the reason a group of kids recognised him in public.
"A crowd of kids had gathered," said Noel, "watching us have a curry, about 11 or 12 kids." Noel went outside to pose for a photo with the kids who he assumed were fans.
"I was kind of stood there and this girl's going 'Oh my God! Oh my God!' And I heard her whisper to her mate, "Who is it?"
"Her mate said 'He's off Gogglebox'. And she went: 'Are you off Gogglebox?'".
The musician kept his cool though, replying: "'amongst other things, yes'".
Last week, Noel hilariously revealed he signs off all texts to Russell Brand with 'PARKLIFE'.
