Demi Lovato is charging fans $6,000 for a VIP meet and greet during her world tour, which does not include a concert ticket.
The "Dressing Room Package" is currently available for Lovato's forthcoming Australia dates, and will presumably be available throughout the world tour when more dates are announced.
It includes access to a private dressing room, a meet and greet with Lovato, a tote bag, temporary tattoo (?!), VIP laminate and a signed lithograph. It does not include, however, a concert ticket. You're going to have to buy that separately.
According to Australian news outlets, the VIP package is the most expensive in Australian tour history.
She's not the only one to exploit obsessed dedicated fans by charging extortionate fees for the chance to meet her - Jennifer Lopez charged $800 for a photo on her last tour, Lady Gaga chraged $1500, and Olivia Newton-John will charge the same amount next year - but for charity.
Artists such as Ed Sheeran have criticised the idea of meet and greets, with Sheeran saying, "I hate that shit. The moment you allow a kid with a rich father to have more things than a kid with a poor father I think that’s shit."
