A former Ku Klux Klan wizard has attacked hip-hop in a bizarre rant claiming that Minaj's entire success is down to a mass Jewish conspiracy.
Deranged David Duke - who once ran for president - launched into an hour long tirade on his internet radio show. As Time reports, at one point he singled out Minaj's "disgusting and horrific and violent and drug-drenched" music, before announcing his theory that she was merely the figurehead of a global movement.
"Why do people blame blacks like Minaj?" he asked. "Because Minaj wouldn't be a pimple on somebody's rear end except for the fact that she is promoted by the Jewish record producers and the media, the mass media, the powerful media, that promotes absolute degenerates like her."
When she's not inspiring hatred from fanatics, Nicki Minaj recently revealed unveiled a 16 minute short film to accompany her new album The Pinkprint. Made in collaboration with Beats By Dre features three of the more melancholic tracks from the rapper's new album - 'The Crying Game,' 'Grand Piano,' and 'I Lied,' drafting a narrative that stars Minaj herself in a state of emotional turmoil.
Directed by Taylor Cohen and Francesco Carrozzini, the video also featured Lil Wayne, Birdman and Nabil on executive production duties, the latter's past experience giving the film a suitably cinematic feel. If you've read her recent Rolling Stone cover story, you will also pay attention to the colour-correction on the video - apparently Minaj was concerned she would look like one of the Avatar cast.
