Pete Doherty has left his rehab clinic in Thailand after completing treatment for heroin addiction.
The troubled Libertines star had been receiving help for his decade-long battle with the drug - infamous from controversial videos with Amy Winehouse and unrelenting media coverage - at the Hope facility and according to The Daily Mail is now clean.
Simon Mott, who runs the centre, confirmed the news citing a treatment plan that included methadone, counseling and exercise. He also revealed that Doherty relapsed in early December after being off heroin for nearly two months.
Mott also speaks of his disgust at the star being sent heroin from misguided fans: "He received a lot of fan mail which we searched before handing it over. Sadly, on two occasions, we intercepted drugs we had to destroy. It sickened me that there are such disgusting people out there who would go to such lengths to sabotage his treatment."
Pete Doherty is now believed to be in the studio with his Libertines bandmates at a secret beach location.
