Aphex Twin scored a huge victory last night, winning the Best Electronic/Dance Album award at the Grammys with his latest release 'Syro'.
The record was the first in twelve years to be released by the DJ and composer, whose real name is Richard D. James, and it was met with huge critical acclaim from fans and journos alike. The win marks a huge step forward in the public's perception and expenditure of dance music, beating the more commercial likes of Deadmau5, Royksopp & Robyn, Matt Zo and Little Dragon.
The elusive DJ didn't make an appearance at the event, leaving host Gloria Gaynor a ittle lost as she realised no one was going to be walking up on stage, but his fellow nominees took to Twitter to express their congratulations.
