Azealia Banks has revealed her thoughts on posing nude for Playboy's cover for the first time.
The provocative MC is unsurprisingly very comfortable on camera, given she spent part of her time in 2011 working as a stripper in New York. In an interview with ES Magazine, Banks explained her concerns about her body regarding her forthcoming appearance on the cover of the men's title.
"I mean Naomi [Campbell ] did Playboy, right?," says Banks. "And she has small tiddies too."
Discussing precisely how NSFW the images are going to be, things get a little gynaecological. Asked whether she 'shows everything' Banks responds: "Well I don't spread, if that's what you mean. I don't think you will see any, like, pink".
Warming to her theme, Banks reveals: "I don't know if they will show my clit. They might, I dunno. I don't mind nudity." The interviewer then makes the fatal mistake of asking whether the image will be on the cover. "Of course I got the cover! I'm not going to show my pussy unless I get the cover."
Banks Playboy cover is due to be released on 20 March, shot by acclaimed photographer Ellen Von Unwerth. The Playboy editors have described it as a “frisky pictorial that’s sure to break the Internet.”
The physical release of Banks' acclaimed LP Broke With Expensive Taste is confirmed for 20 March. She is also due to play a variety of festivals this summer, including a headline appearance at Bristol's Love Saves The Day. For tickets see below.
