Frank Turner has unveiled the first track from his hugely anticipated sixth album. Listen to 'Get Better' below.
Turner has been working on the followup to Tape Deck Heart for some time and has only just revealed details of his new LP.
"Very, very excited to be able to say we're closing in on finishing my sixth studio album," he said on Facebook. "You've all been so wonderfully patient waiting for the new music, and I think it's going to be more than worth every minute. Details of the title, release date and a whole lot more will be coming in the weeks ahead."
Turner shared the first track from the new album: a bonafide folk rock belter 'Get Better' is a defiant call to arms.

Turner, who recently confirmed to be performing at this year's Reading & Leeds Festival, recently told Gigwise that the new album would be 'of a sunnier disposition' to his recent work.
"With Tape Deck Heart, I'm just at a point where I can get a bit of hindsight on that record," he said. "It's a strange beast and it's a lot darker than I thought it was when I was writing it. A lot of people were like 'fuck me dude, are you really going to say that on the record?' and I was like 'yeah' but now it's quite surprising. It's definitely a record that I needed to make, on a creative as well as a personal level.
"In the future, I suspect that it will be seen as a transitional record of a kind. I'm writing quite upbeat songs at the moment, by my standards anyway - they're still about the long dark night of the soul."
Frank Turner recently announced details of a tour of intimate UK venues in support of his upcoming memoirs, The Road Beneath My Feet. The shows will feature a live solo performance, as well as a Q&A with a fans and 'an evening of conversation'. For tickets see below.
