The creative team behind the runaway success of Kendal Calling have announced the launch of a brand new festival, Forgotten Fields.
As this year's Kendal Calling celebrate their tenth year with tickets selling out thanks to a huge bill featuring the likes of Elbow, The Vaccines, Kaiser Chiefs, Snoop Dogg, James, Billy Bragg, British Sea Power and more, they're ready to kick off a new event, with a more intimate feel.
Forgotten Fields will be an 'intimate event for just 4,000 revellers' and will be held in the idyllic grounds of Eridge Country Park in Sussex.
"Forgotten Fields is a fresh new summer party piled high with our favourite artists and prizing principles of intimacy, experience and quality over quantity," said a festival spokesman. "Forgotten Fields features firm festival favourites with sing-a-long back catalogues, fine ales, world cuisine, extravagant site art, festival games, fancy dress frolics, boutique stalls & camp fire tales all set in picturesque English countryside."
The first line-up announcement will be made at 7pm on Wednesday 25 March, before tickets go on sale on Friday 27 March at 9am. The event takes place from 7-9 August, 2015.
