The artwork of Radiohead album sleeve designer, Stanley Donwood, is set to go on display at the Carriageworks gallery in Sydney.
The artist, whose real name is Dan Rickwood has worked closely with Radiohead since ‘The Bends’ and designed the sleeves for ‘OK Computer’, ‘Kid A’, ‘Amnesiac’, ‘Hail to the Thief’, ‘In Rainbows’ and ‘The King of Limbs’, as well as working with Thom Yorke on his solo project and Atoms For Peace.
‘The Panic Office’ - running 21st May to 6th June - will display 'thousands' of original pieces and previously-unseen art from throughout Donwood's 25-year career. A statement from the gallery Carriageworks said of the artworks: “Some are original, some are unseen and all bear Donwood’s evocative and haunting imagery that all helped to create one of the world’s most distinctive brands.”
Donwood’s most recent Radiohead collaboration was on the Polyfauna app, which showcased music from Thom Yorke’s latest LP, ‘Tomorrow’s Modern Boxes’.
