Marilyn Manson denies provoking man to punch him in diner

Marilyn Manson has spoken out about a recent altercation at a diner in Canada in which in was punched - claiming that he did not provoke the attacker. 

The 'Fight Song' shock-rocker was dining at Denny's in Alberta, Canada, when TMZ report that a fight broke out after in was claimed that Manson insulted another diner's girlfriend. However, a spokesman for Manson claims that the attack happened while two fans were asking him for a photograph, and that it was completely unprovoked. 

Manson is reported to have been left with a bloody nose following the attack, with witnesses saying he was "pissed off because he was being nice."

The attacker is said to have elbowed Manson's make-up artist too, when restrained by security before ranting about 'blowing up' at the God Of Fuck's next concert.  

Eyewitness Johnny Scott told the Toronto Sun: "Manson never got a chance to sit down. He was being friendly with everyone, anyone who wanted a picture, he would give them a picture, anyone who wanted an autograph he would give them an autograph.

"They were just talking and the guy just punched him right in the face without any provocation."

Lethbridge Police said that they were called to the scene at 2.45am following reports of an altercation, adding: "Three people were involved in the altercation which resulted in minor injuries. No charges were laid and the file is concluded."
