Guns N’ Roses’ DJ Ashba has said that his band are just on a “hiatus”, and that he expects to return to the stage in the near future.
Speaking with the Las Vegas Sun, Ashba said: “I’ve got [Axl Rose’s] back whenever he needs me. Ever since I joined GNR six years ago, it’s almost been nonstop touring. But we’ve kind of talked of more touring, and I’m looking at this more as a hiatus than the end.”
The band have been quiet since their Las Vegas residency in 2014. Rumours have since been circulating that the band were breaking up and that Rose was retiring, forcing him to post on his band’s Facebook page “I’m not going anywhere”, along with the message “GNR fans sure have a Radar for BS! Love you all!”.

The band’s keyboardist Dizzy Reed was also forced to deny rumours of the band’s break up, telling Billboard last year: "You know, so much of that crap gets out there, you can't believe any of it.”
“At this point, having been in the band for so long, nothing surprises me,” he continued. “When I hear things like that I immediately dismiss them until I hear further. I'm never really concerned enough to even ask where it came from, or why, because if it's that important I'll be getting a phone call."
