Jared Leto has revealed his terrifying new portrayal of The Joker, who he will play in the forthcoming Suicide Squad film.
The image was released by the film's director, David Ayer in honour of the 75th anniversary of The Joker's comic book debut this weekend.
Leto had previously uploaded a blurry photo of his latest acting role, referencing the famous Batman graphic novel The Killing Joke. It marks the first on-screen interpretation of The Joker since Heath Ledger's Oscar-winning portrayal in Christopher Nolan's The Dark Knight.
Meanwhile, as well as Leto, the film is set to star Will Smith as Deadshot, Margot Robbie as Harley Quinn, Jai Courtney as Boomerang, and Common in an undisclosed role.
Suicide Squad is set to be released on 5th August 2016.
