4 May, 2013: The May bank holiday weekend was not only notable for giving everyone a very much appreciated three-day weekend, but also marked the official start of the UK festival season.
Alongside Live At Leeds, Liverpool Sound City saw some of the hottest talents in music descend upon Liverpool for a weekend packed with the bands tipped for big things over the next 12 months. Among them, Savages, the post-punk quartet putting women back at the forefront of the UK rock scene, who release debut album Silence Yourself this week.
Gigwise was at Liverpool Sound City for the weekend, hosting our own stage in collaboration with the brilliant poster art of Screenadelica. Check out photos of Savages live at Liverpool Sound City here.
