Earlier this week, the news of the tragic death of Robin Williams was mistaken by thousands on Twitter, who began to mourn the loss of Robbie Williams instead - despite the 'Angels' singer being very much alive.
A simiar instance took place last year when Alex Turner was taken for dead online. Seriously, who wakes up and plans these things? #RIPAlexTurner is far from the first death hoax, with the age-old nonsense even dating back to 1966 when Paul McCartney died and was replaced by an imposter. Yeaaaaaaah, right...
