Get ready for The Endless River
The band experimented with three dimensional sound throughout their career. During a performance of 'See Emily Play' at Queen Elizabeth Hall in London they used a quadraphonic device called an Azimuth Co-ordinator that combined amplified sound and recorded tapes to rotate sound waves 270 degrees around the venue, creating a swirling effect. In 1972 they bought a P.A. that could create a full 360 degree effect.

Pink Floyd are back, with what is their first album in 20 years, the aptly titled The Endless River. They are a band with a long legacy, some of it arduous, full of experimentation and the pushing of boundaries both physical and musical.
They are without a doubt one of the greatest bands of all time, especially when you consider well over 34 million people bought Dark Side Of The Moon. It spent 1,500 weeks in the charts setting an all time record and this isn't even the record they consider to be their greatest...
Expectations are high for the new release and rightly so. But they aren't a bad who are likely to disappoint.
