Taylor Swift's Twitter and Instagram was hacked today and a deeply creepy user threatened to leak nude photos in return for Bitcoins. Swift responded in the best way possible.
Following suspicious messages on Swift’s Twitter account to its 51.4m followers, it appeared that the singer had been briefly hacked today. Once alerted by Hayley Williams from Paramore, Swift was able to regain control of her accounts, writing on her Tumblr: “My Twitter got hacked but don’t worry, Twitter is deleting the hacker tweets and locking my account until they can figure out how this happened and get me new passwords. Never a dull moment.”
Things then took a decidedly more unpleasant turn when a user identified as Lizzard (who claims to be part of a number of hacker groups including Anonymous) then started an auction for the release of nude photos of Swift. His message read 'Will post Taylor Swift's nudes when this btc wallet hits 3btc'. There is currently no evidence to suggest that Lizzard had gained any private information from Swift's account. The singer, taking it in her stride responded with a tweet.
