Reports of a shooting at Lil Wayne's home sparked social media concern earlier this week, but the rapper has revealed the incident was in fact a hoax. Listen to the hoax call below.
On the same day that a Twitter account was activated purporting to be from a thief of Kanye West's laptop, a much more severe hoax was being perpetuated in Miami.
TMZ posted a video recording of the call made to Miami Beach cops on Wednesday. He even sounds like he's making up as he goes along including the memorable threat that he would "kill anyone and everything."

It continues a turbulent start to the year for the rapper. Lil Wayne is reportedly suing his long-time label Cash Money Records and his beloved mentor, label boss Birdman, for $51 million over the delays in the release of long overdue album Tha Carter V. He told Rolling Stone that the album is "super done." "Cake baked, icing on top, name on top, candles lit. I would have released it yesterday if I could. But it's a dead subject right now. It's a jewel in the safe. It's that stash-house money."
Wayne also announced his intentions of releaing a Free Weezy album sometime in March, although no firm release date has been established. "Right now, anybody could put out a new song on the Internet and it could become the hottest thing ever. When I was starting, you couldn’t do that type of shit. But that's wonderful – the game is wide open, and my job is just to stay vital." Last night (12 March) he also posted a trailer for his new video for 'Hollyweezy'.

Wayne recently stated he would be willing to stay with Cash Money Records in return for a $10m he claims he's owed for completing Tha Carter V.
