After it looked like Kanye West was severing all ties with the struggling new streaming service Tidal, he's now taken to Twitter to reinforce his support for it.
Advertised as the "first music service with High Fidelity sound quality," Jay-Z's streaming service launched at the end of March with support from Rihanna, Nicki Minaj, Madonna, Usher, Kanye West and Deadmau5.
The intention of the first artist-owned music streaming platform was that it would pay 75% of its revenues back to the music industry, compared with the 50% paid by Spotify and Pandora.
Despite the fanfare though, the service, which is co-owned by Beyonce, Kanye West, Jack White and Usher, has already dropped out of the iPhone top 700 downloads chart. This was probably due to its $20 a month subscription fee, and lack of a free, ad-supported version.
For a moment, it seemed as though even Kanye West was disowning the company, after he deleted all tweets about Tidal, including: "Together, we can turn the tide and make music history. Start by turning your profile picture blue. #TIDALFORALL"
After the media took note of this move though, West tweeted once again in support of the struggling company.

Meanwhile, today rumours emerged that Beyonce and Jay Z may be about to release a joint album exclusively on Tidal.
