Coventry cohorts The Ripps have released themselves, according to this hack, one of the best tracks this year…why oh why wasn’t it out earlier?! Having to contend with the next friggin’ Crazy Frog tune is by far no easy feat, yet their Clashy, trashy Dogs influenced leary songwriting reminiscent of youthful rebellion, replacing violent cockiness with a cheeky two fingered salute at the Fuzz, is sure to do well in the charts. This three piece have created an instant revolution party starter as a garage guitar sound that is not only catchy as sin, but beautifully arranged is a no filler, fantastic tune that has one of the best sing along choruses to be released since The Libertines dragged their arses across a stage. A two-and-a-bit-minute perfectly crafted trash pop song that says and does far more than teen angst at its worst. Fucking brilliant mate.
