Parrot-fronted band Hatebeak are set to release a new album later this year, which will see them continuing to deliver their hard death-metal with that trademark squak.

The group consists of Blake Harrison from Pig Destroyer, Mark Sloan from The Index and Waldo, a 21-year-old Parrot. As Metal Injunction reports their fourth album, The Number of the Beak, will be released on June 26 on Reptilian Records following Beak of Putrefaction (2004), Bird Seeds of Vengeance (2005) and The Thing That Should Not Beak (2007).

Upon working with Waldo, the human members said: "He's quite talkative and has always responded to music in general. We can tell he likes metal because he stands on one leg when he's happy. This happens anytime we play Carcass, Left Hand Path by Entombed, pretty much anything from the early Earache catalog (except Scorn). He's also a big Tomas Skogsberg fan. No Scott Burns, though, he gets cranky and soils his cage if we play Deicide or Obituary."

You can check out previews of the new album on Reptilian Records, in the meantime here are some classic Hatebeak tracks to listen to below:
