Before you hear them on the radio, telly, Hot New Bands; before they’ve got a manager or an agent; before you see them smashing the main stages, it's more than likely they'll have played or received early support from This Feeling.

In February, TF shared their annual big list of Ones to Watch in the world of indie music in 2022. Every week, you can meet a new artist that made it onto that list...

If you had to put your music in two genres, which would you choose?

Indie Pop.

What kind of stuff can you imagine your music being the soundtrack for?

Can 100% see our tunes being soundtracked for anything ‘coming of age’. The teenagers running round having fun and causing mischief!

Tell us an older artist and a brand new artist that inspires you.

We’re all really into various different older bands across the board. There’s a common connection between us all with Arctic Monkeys. A bunch of friends from school who love writing tunes is where its at and something we can relate to.

An emerging band are Spacey Jane from down under. Fresh beach rock vibes is right up our street. Tunes to put a smile on your face.

What's the best part of playing live?

Best part of playing live is the connection between us and the people watching. Being able to make people feel a certain way is something special and something we don’t ever take for granted. Every time we step foot on that stage whether its to 1 or 100 people we’ll give it 100%.

Tell us about your latest release.

'Boys Kiss Boys' came out last summer and its the perfect depiction of Lock-In. A mixture of floaty love tunes to make you tap your feet, upbeat vibes to get you through your day with the perfect blend of raw, relatable lyrics.

What have you got coming up?

We’ve got lots coming up, 2022 is going to be a busy year for us. New music, more gigs and festivals. We’re ready and waiting for whatever comes at us - we’re not frightened of anything.

What other bands tipped by This Feeling this year do you like or looking forward to seeing?

All the bands tipped by this feeling are absolutely mega every year and especially this year. Lots of bands, like us, who have risen through the pandemic we have lots of respect for. Harvey Jay Dodgson's coming with that fresh sound everyones bouncing along to. Blondes keep releasing
banger after banger and Gen and the Degenerates are smashing the live scene with emphatic performances!
