Katy Perry’s next album will be released by 2016, according to her manager.
Speaking at the All That Matters music and entertainment conference in Singapore this week, Perry’s manager Steven Jensen said, as Idolator reports,: “She plans to release her next album by 2016.”
Discussing her next release earlier this year, Perry had told the Associated Press: “I also think it’s important for me to maybe start reinventing myself. Because I can’t keep topping myself because I’ll just combust at some point. You can’t keep topping yourself when you’re at such a height. There’s only one Mount Everest and once you’ve reached it, it’s like where do you go from there? You’ve just got to sail somewhere else.”
She went on to say that she plans to “craft songs about ‘real life experiences'” once her tour is over.

In addition to sharing the news of a new LP, Jensen also discussed Perry’s future touring plans. “She loves India and she would like to come to India. She plans to release her next album by 2016, so we hope to bring her to India after that,” he said, according to Radio and Music.
He went on to say that she would like to perform in India, even if a promoter approached her for a one-off gig. He also added that her next tours will not include the same places she visited in Asia for her ‘Prismatic Tour’.
