Coldplay have written a farewell song for departed Radio 1 presenter Fearne Cotton who left her Radio 1 show this week. Listen to the track below.
The song entitled 'Gone but not F.Cotton' commemerates her 10 year stint at the station and thanks Cotton for 'making all of out mornings shine', 'the stories' and introducing us to Lana Del Rey.
Fearne Cotton broadcast her last show on Friday (May 22), she is believed to of walked from her slot in order to focus on her family life as she revealed she is expecting another child with her husband Jesse Wood: "After much time and careful thought I have decided to leave Radio 1 after ten amazing years. I have had the most incredible decade broadcasting on Radio 1, meeting wonderful people, helping break artists and watching live music from the world's best. However it is now time for a new chapter."

As previously reported Coldplay recently confirmed they are working on their seventh album, entitled A Head Full Of Dreams in between writing songs for departing DJs and composing their very own Game of Thrones musical for America's first Red Nose Day. The musical features input from the hit show's cast with tracks such as 'Rastafarian Targaeryan' performed with Emilia Clarke.
Posting a note on their website they explained: 'Hello everyone. We are in the studio working on A Head Full Of Dreams. While that's happening Phil and Anchorman and The Oracle and Roadie #42 have been getting the timeline updated. Here it is and thank you very much to them and you."
