Grimes has announced the follow up to 2012's Visions will be released in October this year.
Previously the album was set for a 2012 release date, but Grimes reportedly scrapped the entire album after believing it sounded too 'commercial' for her liking. Instead she has revealed via Twitter that she has set a release date of some time in October for the entirely revamped album.

She also revealed that the album will be "completely different" from any of her previous work, with "real" instruments, drawing on Nine Inch Nails and Japanese songwriter Nakata as influences. Previous track 'Go' has been axed and will not feature at all.
On her Twitter she has stated that she's currently still in the studio, and has been hesitant on a setting a specific date, preferring a 'surprise' release ahead of press, so the tracks can be heard together, with two singles to coincide with the full release.
Grimes is due to start tour supporting Lana Del Ray, on the second American leg of Del Ray's 'Endless Summer' tour, starting on May 28th in Indianapolis, Indiana.
