Germany's Rock Am Ring festival was interrupted when lightning hit the site twice early on Saturday morning, injuring 33 people.
The festival was set to play host to the likes of Foo Fighters, The Prodigy and Slipknot, but was abruptly disrupted when the lightning strike resulted in the hospitalisation of over 30 people in nearby German hospitals, to be put under 'observation.'
At least eight of those admitted were festival staff and members of the production team, it has been reported by the local Rhineland-Palatinate police, but were added to be in 'good health,' according to BBC News.
Foo Fighters went on to headline the festival on Sunday (07 June) without any problems.
Recently Foo Fighters have played dates in the UK. Grohl even spotted a young 8 year-old-boy in the Manchester crowd, passionately singing along to all the lyrics and invited him up on stage.
