Calvin Harris' new song is maybe, possibly a very blatant Taylor Swift reference

'Ole', recorded by John Newman, seems to be about Swift's relationship with Tom Hiddleston

The song Calvin Harris wrote for John Newman has just been revealed, and it’s already being interpreted as a fairly transparent reference to his recent break-up with Taylor Swift.

If Harris wanted to avoid rumours that the song, ‘Ole’, was about his break-up with Swift, and her subsequent relationship with Tom Hiddleston, it probably shouldn’t have begun with the words “Low key.” Hiddleston’s most famous character is Thor’s Loki.

Other suspect lyrics include, “I see online that you begun to be a good girl and take trips with your boyfriend. Being attentive, continue to pretend…”

Harris dated Swift for just over a year before they announced their split back in May. Though it was amicable at first, Harris subsequently took to Instagram to complain that “she controlled the media and the situation.”
