It's been great having music in the world, and in our lives, for the past few centuries, but Sinead O'Connor has some truly devastating news for us: "Music has officially died." The reason? Kim Kardashian in on the cover of Rolling Stone.
The reality star and businesswoman, who is married to Kanye West, graced the cover of the most recent edition of the popular culture magazine. Though the magazine is predominantly known for its music coverage, its focus over the last few decades has shifted towards more general pop culture coverage, including TV shows and film.
Some of its most recent cover stars including Orange Is The New Black's Taylor Schilling and Laura Prepon, TV host David Letterman and comedian John Belushi. Kim Kardashian, though, was one step too far for Sinead O'Connor.
The singer took to Facebook to ask, "What is this c**t ('I don't smile much because it causes wrinkles') doing on the cover of Rolling Stone? Music has officially died. Who knew it would be Rolling Stone that murdered it? Simon Cowell and Louis Walsh can no longer be expected to take all the blame. Bob Dylan must be fucking horrified. #BoycottRollingStone #AGenerationIsBeingGroomedAndSilenced"

She also responded to several of the top rated comments. When someone pointed out, "Bob Dylan released an album which could only be bought at Starbucks. I don't think Bob Dylan would be as horrified as you think. Rolling Stone is about selling magazines", O'Connor replied, "Key words here are 'released an album'."
Last year, O'Connor wrote an open letter to Miley Cyrus expressing her concern over her sexualised music videos, saying, "The music business doesn't give a shit about you, or any of us. They will prostitute you for all you are worth."
