Bring Me The Horizon has unveiled the brand new track and video for latest single 'Throne' - check it out below.

'Throne' follows on from 'Happy Song' in giving fans a taster of upcoming album That's The Spirit - due for release on 11 September

The epic video shows scenes of medieval drama and feudal strife, not too dissimilar from Games Of Thrones, while the track itself is BMTH at their most upbeat and poppy, with a layer of arena-filling synths backing up their usual rush of emotive metal. There's a smack of Enter Shikari to the sound, but it's still unmistakably BMTH.

"We don't listen to extreme deathcore anymore," keyboardist and primary songwriter Jordan Fish told Rolling Stone of their shift in direction. "We still like some heavy music, but I also like Justin Bieber. My wife told me the other day I have the music taste of a teenage girl."

He continued: "We don't want to carry on and pretend we're still full of angst. I think people would see right through that."

Speaking 'Throne', Fish added: "It's one of the most simple and straightforward songs we did. It's got some elements we had on the last album [2013's Sempiternal], with an up-tempo rhythm and really strong melodies. So it seemed like an obvious choice for the first single because it's so immediately catchy and has such a good level of energy."

"We want to be a gateway band for people," frontman Oli Sykes told Gigwise last year of the band's ambitions. "For me that was Linkin Park, they were the band that got me into heavier music. It's not our goal but we're not elitist - we think that's cool if you can get other into this kind of music, that's awesome."

The band will return to the UK to perform at Reading & Leeds festival across August Bank Holiday weekend, and will also see performances from The Libertines, Metallica, Mumford & Sons, Jamie T, Limp Bizkit, Royal Blood, Kendrick Lamar, Alt-J and many more.
